In the ABC-along, I was moving right along and then the middle of the alphabet hit me like a brick. So, here I am playing a bit of catch up and hoping to get back on schedule.

*N* if for Mia’s *NEW* shoes..that you’ve all already seen, but they are super cute and she loves them to death.

and then onto *O*. O was easy. O is for Olive.

Olive is our rat terrier, she is about 9.5 years old now, and we’ve had her since Miles was 1. She is the craziest dog, and has some issues.. she’s a little cooky at times, and some times very annoying!! She can play a mean game of fetch and loves when it’s dinner time. oh, and she’s scared to death of the camera, so this is a rare thing that I got to take a picture of her!

Finally.. M! I didn’t want to take the easy way out, and use my own personal M’s as my M. But… I was late - and I just could not come up with anything else. Besides, to me . …there is no better “M” in all the land, than my M’s… at the **M**ovies no less. We went to see Wall-E and it was indeed as good as you’ve heard it was. So sweet, so so sweet.

as in the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Kind of bitter sweet. I mean, my boy is going to be in the 5th grade. 5! I remember the day I dropped him off at pre-k and he was so excited, and so ready. Every year, he just goes - and leaves me - never had an separation issue - just went. Year after year after year. I mean, I guess that’s a good thing, but I’m the one who drives home, in tears that my baby boy needs his mom a little less every day. A little bit, a teeny tiny bit, but a bit none the less. So today, it’s all fun and games, they’ve cleared out their desk and his class with have a pizza party and POOF, the day will be over and let summer officially begin!

my boy on his first day of school, 1 day before he turned 9. and this morning - when he was on his way out the door. a little bit taller, a little bit heavier, much more smarter and ready for summer!

Well, I did it. I feel pretty accomplished I must say. Really now. Me? Doing a 5k! Crazier things have happened I guess. I do have to say that Mr. Knitpho was quite the inspiration to me and I figured if he could do 26.2, I could do a measly 3.1. It was a great experience and much more fun than I ever thought possible. My time was 35:17.. I was hoping for a bit better, but there were unexpected hills.. but for my first one. I’ll take it!
Miles did the fun run with a bunch of other kids, that was a lot of fun for him, however there were kids younger than him cruising that 5k and one kid ran in it, in like 22minutes.. and then he ran the fun run after! But, this one was the Melody Miles Road Race, and now not only did our #’s have our names on it, so did the ribbons and the T-shirts. I love stuff with my name on it.. it’s been hard to come by my entire life, now I have all this and it even means more to me than a dumb ole keychain!

So, today.. we relax. We eat. We drink. We soak up the sunshine and enjoy good times with good friends.

It’s my birthday month.

For the last few years we’ve had a little bird nest under our deck. Every year, new little baby birds are born. Sometimes you have to duck and take cover because the birds are vicious and want you no where near the nest, and it’s hard to even go in the back yard. This year, the birds are pretty tame and we have four little robin eggs in the nest. We check on them every day and the mommy and daddy bird keep a close eye on us from the distant trees. I had to take this pic through the boards of the deck… it’s too high up and under cover and we didn’t want to disturb the little eggs or annoy the parents to be.

Sandy (aka Mr Knitpho) has always been a runner. It has always been a huge passion of his. But, life got in the way and he had slowed down some. Well, this was his year.!!

He ran a fantastic marathon yesterday. A time of 4:30:41.. averaging a 10:19 mile. AMAZING.

He is not only my husband, he is my inspiration. If he can do this, I can do anything.

Hey Hey…

Last night, I was able to go to the Red Sox game with Mr. Knitpho. Since he’s running for his company John Hancock, and John Hancock is a big supporter of the marathon, etc. It was marathon night at Fenway Park. It was pretty amazing. We had dinner in the players club with OPEN BAR and the winners of last years marathon were also there. We ate, I drank and then the mister along with all the other marathoners were taken away, and we found our way to our seats. Now, the seats.. left something to be desired, but.. hey - beggers can’t be choosers, eh? Then this …

Then… They brought out the marathoners.. they all got to stand out on the dirt ( DO NOT TOUCH THE GRASS!!)

All of Mr. Knitpho’s dreams & his true passions clustering in one weekend! Red Sox. going out onto the field. Seeing Lance Armstrong, sort of up close! Ofcourse, running the marathon tomorrow.

I have some GREAT friends… fantastical memories..hysterical laughter.. some tears.. lots of beers .. I would do anything for anyone of them.. they are my muse. From Durango to Tucson to Chicago to Worcester. Two of them, I even get to call them family! But really.. they are all my family. I wouldn’t survive a minute in this crazy world without them! What’s even better.. through this whole knitting community.. I made even MORE friends. YAY ME!
