Yesterday was little M’s first day of soccer. I loaded up the kids and off we went. She was VERY excited, but didn’t understand why she didn’t have ‘pokey’ shoes and leg pads like her big brother. My explanation of, your only 3 and this is just the basics of learning to play .. was not good enough. But as bitter as she was about it, she went. All day, she was SO excited and couldn’t wait to start the same sport that her daddy & big bro play! Off we go!

I walk into the gym and there she is. The lesser of the evils, but still… she’s there. The mom who lets her baby eat off the floor. The one who wants to know about spiritual enlightenment for her children, the one who wants to make boundaries for her kids..but only when it’s convenient for her.

So, it’s time to start …

457P. Her daughter is in a dress. To play soccer. WHY?
501p She is feeding the baby (does this baby EVER NOT EAT!) yogurt while sitting on the gym floor and the baby spits it all over the gym floor. Mom “tries” to wipe it up…but we all know how ridiculously hard it is to wipe up yogurt.
507p. No instructor. Yet.
508p crazy mom still trying to wipe up yogurt? Where’s your baby? Oh under the basketball hoop where kids are shooting baskets.
“hi, can you move your kid” says the one & only dad in there…
crazy mom replies “oh, I like her to explore!”
dad: well.. she’s going to explore a basketball on her head if you don’t move her (he said it ‘funny’)
I wanted to high five him.
I restrained.
510p. Still no instructor.
510p I go find someone and tell them there is no instructor.
512P Informed.. no teacher today. (or as I heard it) SORRY LOSERS..you drove all the way out here at $3.57 a gallon in your gas guzzling SUV’s and got your kids hopes up, only to be let down by our obvious disorganization and idiot way of hiring teenagers.
513P Y employee.. “i can bring you a ball, you can play by yourselves!?

515p. We get a bunch of fun soccer balls and we run and play and have fun.
520p Crazy mama’s baby is crawling all over the place, I have a 9yr old boy running around like a 9yr old boy and I am
trying to keep him from bulldozing over the yogurt/germ infested baby and tell him to SIT DOWN. PLAY VIDEO GAMES! DO NOT EXERCISE!
521p Crazy mom.. “gosh. Maybe I should put her in a stroller so she doesn’t get trampled by a bunch of 3 & 4yr olds”

530p M x 3 has had enoughand we are OUT. Littlest M is not pleased about this and is ticked that she didn’t have “practice”

In other news.. I have no other news. I’m knitting..but I have nothing great to show for myself. Just working on things here and there. The weather here in MA has been PERFECTION. So, I’ve beens soaking up that sun for my pale pasty skin. Viva la tan lines.
